Idle Viking Saga ("we", "our", or "the game") is an independent browser-based idle RPG. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any personal information collected through our website and game services at idlevikingsaga.pages.dev.

When you use optional cloud saving features via Google Sign-In, we collect minimal information necessary to maintain your game account:

• Google Account Identifier (User ID): A unique token provided by Google to bind your game save to your account.
• Email Address: Used solely to identify your account session and prevent account collision.
• Game Data: Character names, levels, gear, barrow progression, and related in-game activity.

2. How We Use Information

Your information is used exclusively for:

• Authenticating your session and synchronizing your game save across your authorized devices.
• Ensuring account integrity and preventing save corruption or conflicting sessions.

We do not sell, rent, monetize, or share your personal information with third parties or data brokers. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

3. Data Storage and Security

Game data and authentication tokens are stored securely using Cloudflare serverless infrastructure and encrypted D1 database services. Local saves are cached in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB).

4. Data Deletion and Control

Players retain full control over their game data. You can reset or delete your local and cached game progress at any time directly through the in-game Settings menu, or by clearing your browser's local cache and IndexedDB storage. Disconnecting your Google account in Settings immediately unlinks your cloud save.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy notice as new game features evolve. Continued use of the game constitutes acceptance of any updates.
